If you’re a dog lover who enjoys going to fun events with your pooch, check out Third Fridays, in Safety Harbor, FL. It’s a free music series featuring live music in the John Wilson Park gazebo and at local venues throughout town, and street festival that runs monthly on Main Street – from 6 – 9 PM. It’s safe and fun, as they close the street from traffic.
There are tons of vendors, and great little stores, and restaurants all over Main Street. This event is highly attended by human and canine alike. It’s almost a mini dog show, as you will see Greyhounds, Whippets, Bull Mastiffs, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Daschunds, Irish Setters, Papillons, and lots of breeds all in one place. If you’re lucky, you might even meet Gigi Nibbler, our Bug (Boston Terrier/Pug) mashup.
Proceeds of the event, such as our Doggie Cakes – Dog Bakery booth rental fee benefit a different local charity every month. The next two charities are Power Soccer of Tampa Bay – February 15, and Safety Harbor Neighborhood Family Center – March 21, 2008.
