Doggie Cakes to Host Pet Pictures with the Easter Bunny for SPCA Suncoast
New Port Richey, Florida – March 20, 2009 – The Easter Bunny is coming to Doggie Cakes - Dog Bakery and Boutique in New Port Richey, Florida for photos with your pet on Saturday, April 4th, 2009 from 10 am – 1 pm.
Suggested donation of $5 for each pet 4” x 6” photo also enters you in the raffle for a dog Easter basket, filled with treats and toys. There is also an option of $1 for the raffle only and this drawing is currently open in the store. Donated proceeds go to the SPCA Suncoast; a non-profit organization and no-kill shelter, supported entirely through private donations. SPCA staff will be at the event to take photos and work with the pets.

Pasco Camera Exchange, located at 5404 Main Street, will provide lighting equipment for the event. In the spirit of collaboration, Doggie Cakes has also invited other businesses to attend and share information about their services and products, as your 4” x 6” photo is printed.
Local company, Read My Paws will bring their full collection of doggie and people clothing, bandanas, and pet charms as a guest vendor. Their items are original designs, made in the U.S.A., and are available at www.ReadMyPaws.com and www.DoggieCakes.com. Five dollars from the sale of each “Recycle. Adopt A Dog” t-shirt will be donated to the SPCA Suncoast.
Marilyn Wolf, Pet Trainer and Behavior Consultant will provide a free presentation called Focus on the Short List: Turning Negatives to Positives . She will also answer questions about any behavior problems that you are experiencing with your dog.
Free samples of dog and cat food by Natural Planet Organics and Pure Vita will be available. A sales representative will be able to share details about these organic and holistic brands, available at Doggie Cakes. This food is manufactured in Minnesota, USA - and the Doggie Cakes dogs and their customers' dogs love it.
Pasco Animal Hospital, located at 4605 US Highway 19, will be available to let you know about their free vaccinations for life program. There is a one-time, non-refundable enrollment fee to start the program, currently at $49.00 per cat and $65.00 per dog. Then simply return once per year for your pet's annual physical examination by the veterinarian, and any vaccinations for which he or she is due will be given absolutely free of charge. You will be responsible for the annual physical examination fee at that time.
The SPCA Suncoast will be at Doggie Cakes for an additional event on Saturday, April 18 th from 11 am – 2 pm for a pet microchip event, during which a $20 donation and quick injection procedure will provide your pet with a permanent ID.
